Case Study: Streamlining Sensor Production with Encapsulation/Potting Operations

Senix, a customer specializing in sensor production, needed a contract manufacturer capable of integrating encapsulation/potting into their process. With increasing production demands, they sought a reliable partner to manage this critical step while maintaining product quality and efficiency.
Solution
ImageTek MFG stepped in to take over the encapsulation/potting operations for Senix’s sensor assemblies. Initially handled in-house, the customer worked with ImageTek to transition this process to our facility. Collaborating with Senix’s engineers and manufacturing team, ImageTek implemented a new Pneumatic-Mechanical delivery system to perform the encapsulation process. Additionally, ImageTek developed custom test fixtures and established rigorous testing protocols, ensuring assemblies were tested at three key stages—before, during, and after encapsulation. This partnership allowed Senix to meet growing demand without compromising on quality or lead times.
